The left bank of the Tama River.
My hometown is on the left bank of the Tama River, just 10 kilometers from the sea on the border between Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture.
There used to be a row of large factories, an amusement park, a race track, an ancient burial mound, and the ground of the Giants baseball team.

Among these, the bank of the Tama River was the one I was most familiar with since I was a child.
With my father, a quiet man who did not often play with his children,
I remember playing catch early in the morning with my father, a quiet man who did not often play with children.

When I entered the workforce and became more focused on my job, I would pass by this place on the express train.
It was not until I became a father that the place became special again.
For 13 years, I walked along this causeway in the morning and evening with my child to and from nursery school.
The sunset sky that I watched with my young child was a deeply moving experience.

Even now, when I buy a new camera or lens, I go to the Tama River area to try out the new camera or lens,
Whenever I buy a new camera or lens, I ride my bicycle to the Tama River area to take some test shots.
It is my irreplaceable hometown.

The flow of the river is the passage of time.
Here, I have always looked to the future.
I believe that there is something that I have yet to see at the end of this road.
